Nitrification/Denitrification - Lagoon Aeration System
The Process Tech, LLC nitrification/denitrification is the ultimate in aeration. This system not only provides aeration to the wastewater, it nitrifies and denitrifies all at the same time.
We put fixed film over a stand alone aeration system in the lagoon. The naturally occurring microbes in the lagoon now have a place to grow and form a slime growth. The outside of the slime growth is for nitrification and the underneath side of the slime growth is for denitrification. The long detention times in the lagoon provides several times for the water to pass through the media. Algae continue to die when the ammonia and nitrates are reduced
The entire process results in a cleaner more compliant lagoon, thereby eliminating the need for expensive upgrades and large capital expenditures. Process Tech, LLC provides a pre-manufactured system designed to reduce the BOD, TSS and Ammonia-Nitrogen in the system.
